Beauty Care with Turmeric


For years Turmeric has been used as an eminent herbal ingredient of beauty care in Asia and particularly in Indian Subcontinent. Add turmeric to your daily beauty care and enjoy the benefits.

Turmeric can be used for the followings:


Treating Oily Skin:


If your skin is oily try the following mask twice/thrice a week to have an oil free smooth skin.

Ingredients:

  • Sandalwood Powder- 2 tablespoons
  • Turmeric Powder- Half tablespoon
  • Rose Water- as needed


Mix sandalwood powder and turmeric powder with rose water. Apply all over your face and leave for 15-20 minutes. Gently massage with lukewarm water for 5 minutes and rinse off.

 


Treating Dry Skin:


For dry skin use the following mask twice/thrice a week:

Ingredients:

  • Turmeric Powder- Half tablespoon
  • Olive Oil- Half tablespoon
  • Egg White- From 1 Egg


Mix the ingredients together and apply on your face. You may apply the pack on other dry parts (e.g. elbow, knee, heel)of your body too. Leave for 15-20 minutes. Gently massage with lukewarm water for 5 minutes and rinse off.

 


Treating Wrinkles and Age Lines:



Apply the following mask on alternative days:

Ingredients:

  • Turmeric Powder- Half tablespoon
  • Powder Milk- Two tablespoon
  • Honey- One tablespoon
  • Rose Water or Plain Water- Two Tablespoon


Mix the ingredients together and make a thick paste. Apply on your face and leave for 30 minutes. If the mask gets completely dry, gently massage with lukewarm water for 5 minutes and rinse off.


Treating Skin Tan:


For reducing skin tan, try the following mask on alternative days.

Ingredients:

  • Cucumber Juice- Three tablespoons
  • Turmeric Powder- Half tablespoon



Mix the ingredients together and apply on tanned areas.  Leave for 30 minutes. If the mask gets dry, gently massage with normal cold water for 5 minutes and rinse off.
